OUTCOME OF THE MEETING BETWEEN THE MANAGEMENT AND
THE STUDENTS’ UNION GOVERNMENT GATEWAY POLYTECHNIC
SAAPADE OGUN STATE.

The meeting was organised by the school management and
they invited the NANS jcc ogun, DPO Police isara, sss isara
division, SIB eleweran, the civil defence, the vigilante all other
security personnel in the state.
The meeting was a peaceful one, the management shown there concerned about the students payment of fees and we the SUG sees it from the side of the students.
The meeting was to settle all the grievances between the management and all the students through their representatives
(SUG ).
Comr. Asani Shola Lateef(bobolaw ), the SUG president stood up at the meeting to highlight our issues that lead to the
PROTEST.
The first point that was raised is the tuition fee… and that the stand of the whole students is to pay the administrative fee as
the portal is designed and that the tuition fee should not be paid once. That is, it should be on instalment payment (60% first semester and 40%second semester ) of the tuition fee.
And that any student who has paid the 60% of the tuition fee should be allowed to sit for the first semester exam.
The second point was the issue of regularisation, that the regularisation fee should be taken back to 10,000 not 12,000…

More so, no student should be sent out from receiving lectures for being defaulting the school.
When the management sees that it becoming tougher and tougher, they had to meet and reach a compromise that the
school will get back to us before the resumption date.
We, the SUG gave them an ultimatum, the school have this week to deliberate on those points, that on Monday ,15 /02/2016, we
want the feedback from the school so as to determine our resumption on Wednesday 17 /02 /2016.
We also promised to update all students if there I any development.
